5 things to love about candy corn

There are two types of people in this world.

Those who love candy corn, and those who hate it.

While I admit I'm not as big of a candy corn freak as I was as a child, I still like it. If I see a bowl, I will dip my hand in and enjoy a handful. And although they don't taste all that delicious, there are plenty of good things to say about them.

1. They are geometrically pleasing.

2. They are just the right size for hiding inside a Bugle.

3. They have less sugar than a raisin!

4 They taste better than candy lipstick.

5. In order to make candy corn, sugar, corn syrup and other ingredients are cooked into a slurry in large kettles. "Slurry" is fun to say. (Have you heard the song "Slurry with the fringe on top"?)

If you've still not ready to join the Candy Corn Lovers of America just yet, the folks at Buzzfeed have come up with a few more reasons. Caution--this video just might bring a tear to your eye.
