25 recordings for the ages

You think you have a lot of CDs? Somewhere in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia, The Library of Congress has 93 miles of shelving available in an undergound storage facility--prepared to hold and protect our audio visual history.

They've just added 25 recordings in an effort to fill up some empty spaces on those shelves.
Among those added: the Simon and Garfunkel album The Sounds of Silence, Cheap Thrills,  Janis Joplin's 2nd album with Big Brother & The Holding Company,  Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon, The Saturday Night Fever Soundtrack, The Ramones self-titled debut album, and the Chubby Checker song "The Twist."

Blues enthusiasts should agree with the choice of the 1965 Junior Wells album, Hoodoo Man Blues. Not only does it include Wells' great harmonica playing, it also features Buddy Guy on guitar! The Library of Congress notes that because of contractual oblications to another record company, he was billed as "Friendly Chap" when the album first came out.
Here's Junior Wells from the American Folk Blues Festival in Berlin in 1966. I'm not sure if Buddy Guy is playing guitar, because they never show the guitar player. Boo.
