5/12 - Natalia Zukerman w/ Trina Hamlin, 7pm, High Noon Saloon, 18+, $12 door/ $10 adv, more info
  • Natalia Zukerman is a singer/songwriter whose Weasel Records debut Brand New Frame introduces listeners to her rich layers of top notch guitar playing, contemporary beats and dark, sweet, provocative vocals. Musically sophisticated, intimate and irreverent all at once, this record highlights what’s best about Americana music and offers it a Brand New Frame.
5/12 - Gold Motel w/ Family of the Year, 9:30pm, High Noon Saloon, 18+, $8 door, more info
  • The fused sound of Greta Salpeter (The Hush Sound) and members of This is Me Smiling comes to Madison this week as Gold Motel arrives at the High Noon Saloon.  Gold Motel is a collaborative effort between these bands that takes the sound of these separate bands to create a different yet comfortably similar feel.  Gold Motel is an alternative/indie rock band with roots in pop.  Family of the Year join Gold Motel as they bring their indie/folk sound from Silverlake, California.
5/13 - Nite Jewel w/ Rory Kane, 9:30pm, Project Lodge, $8 cover, more info
  • Groovy synth filled jams will fill the Project Lodge when Nite Jewel and local Rory Kane take stage on May 13.  Nite Jewel is an artist based out of Los Angeles focusing on limited indie-electronic dance grooves with synths and simple drum beats.  Rory Kane is a local Madison artist focusing on synth-pop “faux&B."  A great show for any fan of up-and-coming artists who lean on the electronic side of indie.
5/13 - The Knitters w/ Josh Harty and Blake Thomas, 8pm, High Noon Saloon, 21+,$20 door/$18 adv, more info
  • The Knitters blend country, rockabilly, and folk music, and, at the time of their formation, were pioneers of country punk, cowpunk, or folkpunk, the genres which eventually evolved into alternative country. Originally a spinoff of the seminal punk band X, they are influenced by the earthy, honky tonk sound of Bakersfield, CA.
5/14 - Baghdad Scuba Review (CD Release Party) w/ The Grasshoppers, 10pm, High Noon Saloon, 21+, $7 cover, more info
  • Madison based Baghdad Scuba Review will celebrate the release of their 2nd full length album Friday, May 14th at the High Noon Saloon, 10p. Weighing in at over 60 minutes, Breathe consists of 13 original tracks, many of which the band has been playing live for months or even years. Some are already crowd favorites showing up on live recordings and youtube videos. However, the album versions are crisp, recording studio quality renditions thanks to longtime recording engineer Mark Weber (Pressure Wall, formerly with DNA) who spent over a year working with the 6 piece group to get the live band sound down to digital.  The Grasshopper's blend of psychedelic rock, funk, and jam has made them one of the fastest growing names in the area.
5/14 - Clem Snide w/ Heligoats and Canasta, 10pm, The Frequency, 21+, $12 cover, more info
  • Clem Snide is a rock/alternative country band originally from Boston, MA.  Earlier this year they released a new album titled The Meat of Life. Joining Clem Snide are the two indie rock bands, Heligoats from Washington and Canasta from Chicago.

  • Kevin "Tex" Tubb and the Rainy Day Women (featuring Chris Wagoner , Mary Gaines w/ Jim Lottridge and Kenny Koepler) plus Dos Ninos.  Kevin Tubb is a Madison institution. Transplanted from Austin, Texas, his musical talents extend far beyond his (uncanny) ability to impersonate Bob Dylan. Join us for the 10th annual Bob Dylan Birthday Tribute, and enjoy tunes that span Dylan's great career, sung by one of Madison's finest.
5/15 - Will Hoge w/ Andy Davis, Mike Droho and Scott Leslie, 9pm, Majestic Theatre, $12 cover, more info
