The Dirty Shirts will release "Two Dollar Turpentine," their debut album of original honky-tonk music tonight at this special happy hour party! For more than three years, the Dirty Shirts have held a regular happy hour show at the High Noon, with critical acclaim from regulars and newcomers alike. The band members' credentials include performing with the Cork N Bottle String Band, Cajun Strangers, Barley Brothers and Cornelius Klein.

Colin Hay, the lead vocalist of Men at Work, is bringing his solo act to the Majestic Theatre. Colin Hay released his tenth album this past August titled American Sunshine. This instrumental band was formed in February of 2000 in Tokyo, Japan. Since then, MONO has quickly piqued interests in both audience and critics alike by staging overwhelming, emotionally splendid, atmospheric performances. Within the rage of distortion and bombardment of feedback, you are just as likely to experience sadness and beauty, light and darkness, chaos and peace, happiness and melancholy. It is MONO’s ability to combine, intertwine and swing back and forth from two such opposite extremes to create an emotional phantasmagoria that makes this band worth experiencing.

Nick Whetro is the founder of Icarus Himself. And after leaving Northern Indiana in ‘04, to relocate to Madison, Wisconsin, he started writing songs and ended up forming the group National Beekeepers Society (a sort of a slacker rock/garage pop group), which has released two albums; self-titled debut in ‘07, and Pawn Shop Etiquette in ‘08.

Tin Foil Helmet emerges from its slumber to unleash potent, accessible, original rock on the waiting world. Lyrically, the songs range from the seriousness of urban sprawl and phobias, to the whimsy of kicking ass at the poker table or just standing on the corner waiting for something to happen. Letter 8 may have recently changed their lineup, but they still continue to bring their fresh poppy sound.

Youngblood Brass Band destroys convention. They are focused on creating consistently progressive, acoustic, groundbreaking music, employing whatever sonic means necessary to do so. This nine-member ensemble hails from all over these sprawled United States (Madison, WI / New York, NY / San Francisco, CA / Chicago, IL) and sound absolutely focused on unleashing new music to the rest of the world.
