Ahh, Ingrid Michaelson. She's probably best known for her single "The Way I am," and has had several of her songs featured on popular TV shows like Grey's Anatomy, Scrubs and Bones. She's most known for her beautifully melodious voice and indie pop/folk sound. She has released 4 albums, starting with Slow The Rain in 2005. In 2008, she opened for Jason Mraz on his tour in Europe. You can check out more of her music on myspace.
Ingrid Michaelson will definitely put on a fun show. She has a lovely voice and can play a variety of different instruments. Her latest album Everybody was released in August of 2009 and peaked at 18 on the U.S. Billboard.
Similar Artists: Regina Spektor, Death Cab for Cutie, The Magnetic Fields
Why should you go see her?
If you like Grey's Anatomy, you've probably heard Michaelson in at least 9 episodes.
Wonderful voice.
She has collaborated with lots of artists from Joshua Radin to British pop singer Cheryl Cole.
She has been classically trained in music since she was 4-years-old.
Nerdy glasses.
You can also check out her Live from Studio M Session.
If you get a chance, you should check her out on Saturday Oct. 23rd at the Overture Center.
