Tomorrow night's show is on the verge of selling out, which should be no surprise to local indie rock aficionados. You won't want to miss your chance to see Cold War Kids' blues-injected brand of indie rock tomorrow at the Majestic Theatre, especially since it's the band's only tour stop in the upper Midwest. Most well-known for their single "Hang Me Up to Dry" from 2007's Robbers & Cowards, Cold War Kids are on tour in support of their most recent album Mine is Yours.
Make sure to arrive early to catch the show's (only) opener, local musicmaker Julian Lynch. Julian has been studying ethnomusicology at UW-Madison - yeah, I'm not sure what that entails, either. In addition to his academic pursuits, Julian already has three albums to his name, including his most recent musical endeavor, 2011's Terra. With high marks from Pitchfork, this hip kid represents Madison well, churning out creative, experimental sounds.
