What if some of the Midwest's most noted performers got together and formed a band?
While it might not be like herding sheep, it might be something like a band of llamas. I'm not sure if that's how they got their name, but Bandallamas is comprised of quite the list of luminaries: Bobby Bryan, Chris Aaron, Jane Wiedlin, Ken Saydak, Pauli Ryan, Richard Davis, Rob Wasserman, Victor DeLorenzo and Wally Ingram. According to Rock N Roll Detective, "their music incorporates tribal beats, reggae, blues, jazz, funk, rock, and more; transporting their audience through an all-embracing sound of an irresistible world beat."
They've already put out an album, Eye to Eye, and are coming to the Barrymore Theatre later this month for a very special concert. They'l be bringing along with some very talented colleagues when they takie center stage at the Barrymore Theatre on November 11 for their special “Power of Eleven” (11/11/11) showcase. Since 11/11/11 is Veteran’s Day, the group is partnering with Veterans For Peace in hopes that the music will bring everyone together and allow the group to donate a portion of the evening’s proceeds to their cause (a scholarship foundation).
