[Pick of the week] Fantasy Grammy Performances

So, now that the news has broken that Bob Dylan is teaming up with Mumford & Sons for a performance at the Grammys, it got me thinking about other cool duos who I would like to see together.  Here goes, my fantasy picks of pairings for the Grammys: 1)  Arcade Fire and David Bowie They have teamed up before and performed "Wake Up," and it would be awesome to see these two play some songs off  "The Suburbs" album.  Bowie was a big influence for the band and the synergy between them is incredible. 2)  Cee-Lo Green and The Black Keys performing "F### You" I would love to see this combination.  With the powerful vocals of Green and the catchy guitar of the Keys, you would have a fascinating sound in any song they played. 3)  Florence and the Machine and Elton John Florence and the Machine is one of the biggest break out groups of the year.  With their hit "Dog Days Are Over," I think that their indie pop sound and the strong personality of lead singer Florence Welch and would mesh well with a piano and Elton John. 4)  Ozzy Osbourne and Justin Bieber. "What's a Bieber?" 5)  Ray LaMontagne and Flight of the Conchords LaMontagne did a pretty cool cover of "Crazy" by Gnarls Barkley.  I want to see him and and Jemaine Clement and Bret McKenzie perform several folk songs.  They seem like a match made in heaven.  I love the voice of LaMontagne and the lyrics of Flight of the Conchords. What are your thoughts?  Who would you like to see team up at this year's Grammys? -Soren Nieminen

World's Worst iPod: It's a Miracle by Barry Manilow
It's a miracle that both Jonathan and KItty wanted to hear Barry Manilow this morning. They were not alone. Plenty of Fanilow's called in to vote yes. One caller claimed to have seen Manilow in concert 25 times!
A Fine Monday Afternoon
The sun is shining, the birds are chirping, it is another gorgeous Monday, fit for another great show at the Crystal Corner tonight. Through locking ourselves in the barn on Irish Lane, tossing some ideas around, as well as a few choice beverages to...

Hey everybody, we were thrown for a loop by the twist this week, but were able to make one of our "oldie but a goldie" songs fit the mold. We have a few songs that we have played consistently over the years, and we are very happy that we will be...

Twist and Turn
We just received word of what this weeks twist is, and...oh boy. We need to take our "signature song" and cut it to only 2:30 without going over. Amberstein does not simply play 2:30 versions of our songs...so this could be interesting. Last...

In 1984, Rockwell rose to number 2 for 3 weeks in 1984 with "Somebody's Watching Me." The backup singer for the song was Michael Jackson. How did Rockwell get Jackson to help him? Well, Rockwell's real name is Kennedy William Gordy and he...

Free download: Jamie N. Commons
Have you heard the song "Rumble and Sway" yet on Triple M? The singer sounds like a raspy blues dude who's definitely been around the block a few times....but surprisingly, Jamie N. Commons is only 23 years old! He was born in England, but...

New food of the week: Kale
Last week, I decided I would try one new, healthy food a week, and asked my facebook friends to make some suggestions. The first thing I tried was mango. I'm sure I've had other mango flavored things, and mango as part of something else, but...
