The Associated Press has reported that Willie Nelson was charged with possession of Marijuana after 4 ounces of pot was found on his tour bus in Texas. It happened on Friday, Nov. 26th when the tour bus pulled into a checkpoint and an officer smelled the marijuana when their bus door opened and they searched the vehicle. Nelson was among 3 people arrested and was held briefly on a $25,000 bond before he was released. The 77-year-old was charged with a misdemeanor and will most likely get a fine and no jail time.
Rapper Snoop Dogg weighed in on the issue and said they should "leave willie the f**k alone..." Nelson has been a long-time advocate for marijuana decriminalization and has been arrested multiple times including in Louisiana in 2006 where officers found about 1.5 pounds of marijuana on the tour bus.
