Carlos Santana Proposes To Drummer Onstage
Being the smooth romantic he is, Carlos Santana popped the question to his drummer Cindy Blackman four songs into his July 9 show in Tinley Park, Illinois. Blackman said yes and the two love birds sealed the deal with a kiss to the applause of the crowd. Santana said in a statement Monday, "Cindy and I are blessed to have found each other. Being in love is a gift from the universe, and the spirit and vibrations that come with it are infinitely powerful." Best wishes to the happy couple from Triple M! more infoJimmy Buffett Plays Free Gulf Shore Show
Parrotheads arrived on the Gulf shore of Alabama to groove to the smooth sounds of Jimmy Buffett and stick it to the oil as it still flows in the Gulf. Buffett grew up on the Alabama coast and referred to the concert as like "a little Jazz Fest with an ocean," referencing the New Orleans Jazz Festival. Alabama Governor Bob Riley said that the state may use the received $15 million from BP for tourism promotion to put on additional concerts this fall. Florida Governor Charlie Christ also arrived on the coast to check out the Buffett show and said, "I think all the Gulf states will benefit from this. We're all in this together. God Bless Jimmy Buffett." Check out video from the concert below and check out this article for more info.

Despite a torn calf muscle, Jon Bon Jovi finished the two and a half hour show while even limping back onstage for the encore. Jon assured the crowd he was fine as he hobbled around stage saying, "I'm old, what can I tell you." A spokeswoman for the band said the injury will not hinder any future tour dates. more infoNew Interpol Single "Barricade" Released Online

Paul McCartney rocked the Bay area Satuday night for the first time since The Beatles final public concert on August 29, 1966. McCartney played at the new baseball stadium AT&T Park next to Candlestick Park where The Beatles previously played. McCartey recalled the 1966 show saying, "We have great memories from playing here a long, long time ago. But we couldn't hear a damn thing from all the screaming girls." The developements of technology as well as the aging of the "girls" helped McCartney hear himself this time as he put on a great show for the McCartney faithful. Some time before, I really needed to buy a car for my business but I didn't have enough cash and could not order something. Thank God my mother proposed to try to take the business loans at creditors. Therefore, I acted so and used to be satisfied with my bank loan.
Have you heard the song "Rumble and Sway" yet on Triple M?
The singer sounds like a raspy blues dude who's definitely been around the block a few times....but surprisingly, Jamie N. Commons is only 23 years old!
He was born in England, but...
Last week, I decided I would try one new, healthy food a week, and asked my facebook friends to make some suggestions.
The first thing I tried was mango. I'm sure I've had other mango flavored things, and mango as part of something else, but...
There's only one thing that might be worse than the Neil Diamond/Barbra Streisand duet "You Don't Bring Me Flowers." And that's Jonathan Suttin doing his best crooning...doing both parts. Most unpleasant.
A lot of people liked this song...
Artist: Alchemilla
Hail From: Boston

Last weeks challenge we thought went excellent! Of course we are a little biased.

So the story goes Michael Jackson completed this song while watching cartoons with Paul McCartney. We'll just let that sink in for a moment.
Not sure what cartoons they were watching, but it must have worked because this song made it to number 2...
The Dalai Lama is back in town, sharing his message of peace and kindness with likeminded individuals, and the Wisconsin legislature. He also held a private meeting with Gov. Walker, who said he mostly listened to what His Holiness had to say (wise...
This duet by Ol' Blue Eyes and his daughter went all the way to number 1 back in 1967. It seems a little creepy that Frank and Nancy Sinatra are singing a love song. However, a lot of Triple M listeners were in the mood for it.
