[Music News] McCartney On "Glee," Rare David Bowie and Nine Inch Nails

McCartney Asks To Be Featured on "Glee" The television show "Glee" has many fans.  One of the shows more famous fans recently asked to have his music featured on the show.  Believe it or not, Sir Paul McCartney wrote to show creator Ryan Murphy asking to have his music featured on the show.  Murphy told BBC that McCartney sent him a package that included two discs of music along with a hand written note suggesting the use of the included material on the show.  Murphy added that he was shocked to find out the music legend was a fan of the show and that he will surely be working with Paul to some degree in the future.  more info Check Out Arcade Fire's The Suburbs Right Now Yesterday (August 3rd) was the official release day of Arcade Fire's new album titled The Suburbs.  If you have yet to grab your copy of the new album and would like to give the entire release a listen before you buy it, NPR is streaming the album in its entirety.  After you give the album a listen, you can snag a mp3 download of the album for the limited-time-only super cheap price of $3.99 at Amazon.  Give the album a listen and let us know what you think of Arcade Fire's most recent release. Brain Eno To Release New Solo Album In Late 2010 Roxy Music member Brian Eno is set to release a solo album later this year on Warp Records.  No official date or album title have been released, but the project features "the fruits of several years of jams" between Eno, guitarist Leo Abraham, and electro-producer Jon Hopkins.  Eno has described the music as "'live' and 'alien' at the same time."  What exactly that means I am not sure, but I am sure the project will have a captivating sound like much of Eno's past work.  more info New Kings of Leon Album Expected October 19 Reports suggest that Kings of Leon will release their fifth studio album October 19.  The label as well as the band have yet to confirm an October 19 release for the band's next release.  The album title is not known yet but the sound has previously been reported as "beachy" and "chilled out."  Kings of Leon have played a handful of their new tracks at live shows this summer and have said that if it were up to them they would play all their new material live.  Triple M will be sure to let you know when new word on the forthcoming album is released.  more info Rare David Bowie and Nine Inch Nails Live Footage Released Back in 1995, David Bowie and Nine Inch Nails co-headlined a US tour.  Footage of the unlikely pair performing together was recently released online by filmmaker David Williams.  Williams shot footage of the tour and recently uploaded a few videos of both David Bowie and NIN from the 1995 tour.  Check out the video of the song "Hurt" performed by Bowie and Nine Inch Nails below. Wyclef Jean Officially Running For Haitian President It is official, Wyclef Jean will be running for the Haitian presidency.  The rumor of Jean's political aspirations that surfaced about a week ago will reportedly be verified tomorrow (August 5th) when Jean officially announces his decision on "Larry King Live."  In order to run, the former Fugee's member will have to prove he has lived in Haiti for five consecutive years as well as he has not been a citizen of any other country.  If all goes as expected, Wyclef will be on the ballot come November 28.  more info
