Paul McCartney Announces Historic Tour Dates
Paul McCartney will be taking his Up and Coming Tour to Utah and San Francisco later this year. The show in Utah will mark the first ever performance by Sir Paul in the state of Utah. The date in San Francisco will be the first show for McCartney in San Fran since The Beatles performed at Candlestick Park in August of 1966. Tickets will be available for both shows beginning May 24. more info
Scorsese Prepares George Harrison Documentary
Filmmaker Martin Scorsese is working on a documentary based on the life of George Harrison. The film has no official release dates yet, but is reportedly being shopped around to distributors for a potential 2011 release. The documentary takes its title from Harrison's 1973 album Living In The Material World. more info
Max Weinberg in Madison
Anyone who misses their daily dose of Conan on the Tonight Show will be able to relive a slice of the show when former Tonight Show drummer Max Weinberg arrives in Madison on June 22. Max Weinberg will be performing at the Majestic Theatre with his Max Weinberg's Big Band, a 15 piece jazz and swing orchestra. more info
Austin City Limits Festival Lineup, Phish added
The exciting lineup for this years Austin City Limits festival has gained more momentum with news that Phish will be taking part in the festival. Austin City Limits is a three day annual music festival in Austin, Texas taking place on October 8-10. This past weekend marked the first ever Hangout Beach, Music , and Arts Festival in Gulf Shore, Alabama. Trey Anastasio performed at the festival a variety of songs including new songs "Burn That Bridge" and "Sailboat Man." The audio recording of Anastsio's set can be found here.
The Black Keys Release Brothers
The Black Keys released their 8th studio album titled Brothers this week. The new album is lead by the single "Tighten Up" and the video for the single can be seen streaming on their website here. REM to Re-release Fables of the Reconstruction with Rarities
REM has decided to reissue their 1985 album Fable of the Reconstruction as a double disc set including an entire disc with unreleased rarities. The reissue will be available July 13 in digital and 180 gram vinyl versions. Included in the release are 4 postcards, a poster, and liner notes written by guitarist Peter Buck. more info

Today's song was written by Peter Yarrow of Peter, Paul and Mary. It was inspired by the 1957 novel Doctor Zhivago. No one was inspired by the song this morning. It was rejected by almost all the listeners.
Today is World Goth Day, a day to celebrate the post-punk, anti-establishment, dark clothes-wearing subculture.
I'm pretty sure I was a Goth for at least for little while, for two reasons.
1) I almost hardly ever wear pastels.
2) I used to...
Hello to all from Nfusion. Another round of challenges has moved beyond us all. Congrats to those of us lucky enough to have survived to this point. Sad to see the others eliminated as they were all very creative and talented. Good Bye to our new friends...
This morning it seemed like just about everyone was in the mood for some Funky Cold Medina...except Kitty. This ridiculous song made it all the way to number 3 in 1989. Jonathan says any song that references advertising dogs from the 80's has got...
Madison's summer music festival season kicks off this weekend with Brat Fest at Willow Island, where there are more bands than you can shake a bratwurst at! Check out the Brat Fest website to plan your itinerary.

It's a miracle that both Jonathan and KItty wanted to hear Barry Manilow this morning. They were not alone. Plenty of Fanilow's called in to vote yes. One caller claimed to have seen Manilow in concert 25 times!
The sun is shining, the birds are chirping, it is another gorgeous Monday, fit for another great show at the Crystal Corner tonight.
