Jack White's band The Dead Weather Plan Summer Tour in Support of Sea of Cowards
  • The Dead Weather, lead by Jack White, have announced their summer tour plans which include a July 29 date at the Rave in Milwaukee.  The Dead Weather are releasing their second album Sea of Cowards this Tuesday, May 11.  More information regarding tour dates can be found here, and more information about Sea of Cowards can be found here.
Paul McCartney, Climate Change and Livestock?
  • In a recent BBC Radio 4 interview, Sir Paul McCartney angered the British Beef Association when he stated the livestock industry has greater impact on climate change than the transportation industry.  To take action on the issue, McCartney has joined a movement calling for Meat Free Mondaysmore info
Steve Miller Band Join Roadrunner Records, First Album in 17 Years
  • The Steve Miller Band has joined Roadrunner Records to release the band's first album in 17 years.  Bingo! was recorded at George Lucas' Skywalker Studios and is scheduled for a June 15 release on Roadrunner.  Steve Miller Band recorded a second album while at Skywalker Studios due out some time next year.  more info
Joaquin Phoenix's Rap-Star Dreams Coming True?
  • The mystery surrounding actor Joaquin Phoenix's odd antics may have new answers. Reportedly, Phoenix and brother-in-law actor/director Casey Affleck were shopping a new "mockumentary" film to potential studios for release.  After Phoenix's notable Letterman appearance and his future rapping career dreams questions about Joaquin's state of mind or reasoning arise.  more info
Frank Zappa and Paul Buff Rarities Collection to be Released
  • A 20 volume pre-Mothers collection including many unreleased tracks is set to be released by Crossfire Publications.  Much of the collection was recorded at Pal Studios in Cucamongo, California between 1957-1964 with owner Paul Buff and a studio band featuring a young Frank Zappa on guitar.  more info
