[Fresh New Music] Keane - Stop For a Minute feat. K'Naan

British rockers Keane have returned with a new album this May that features a track including Mogadishu born rapper/singer/songwriter K'Naan. The first single off Keane's recent release Night Train titled "Stop For a Minute" is a synthpop song that features the graceful singing of Keane frontman Tom Chaplin along with K'Naan taking the duty of both singing and rapping. If unfamiliar, Keane is an alternative rock band from East Sussex, England who originally reached national spot light with their 2004 single "Somewhere Only We Know" off their debut album Hopes and Fears.  Keane has released 4 albums to date, including last months Night Train release.  The record has received mixed reviews, but this single has the ability to carry the release. K'Naan is a Somalian rapper/singer/instrumentalist/songwriter/all-around music maker who has recently gained well deserved accolades and respect through his work with artists including Nas, Damian Marley, Adam Levine of Maroon 5, Mos Def, David Guetta, and Kirk Hammett of Metallica.  K'Naan, originally from Mogadishu, Somalia is based in Toronto, Canada and has released three solo albums including his 2009 release TroubadourTroubadour received very positive reviews and laid the ground for K'Naan's march into the international music scene.  The track "Waving Flag" off Troubadour has been remixed and reworked a handful of times and has been selected as one of the official tracks for the 2010 World Cup which starts June 11th in South Africa. Enjoy this fresh new music and keep your eyes and ears open for more great new music by Keane, K'Naan, and many other great artists on Triple M!

2014 had a ton of great new album releases, and I easily came up with more than 10 to reference. I would have loved to include The Fray, Angus & Julia Stone, Bleachers, Alt-J, and George Ezra… but they just didn't make it on my Top 10 list. Here...
