COLLAPSE INTO NOW, R.E.M.'s new studio record comes out this Tuesday (March 8th). The album was produced by R.E.M. and Jacknife Lee and features guest appearances from Patti Smith, Lenny Kaye, Joel Gibb, Peaches, and Eddie Vedder.
Mike Mills calls it their best album since "Out of Time," telling Rolling Stone Magazine it includes "balls-to-the-wall rockers, slow sad songs, great mid-tempo songs in the tradition of R.E.M. We had quality, top to bottom."
One thing they do have is some great song titles. In addition to "Mine Smell Like Honey" which you've probably heard, there are songs called "Me, Marlon Brando, Marlon Brando & I," and one I'm really looking forward to.."Alligator Aviator Autopilot Antimatter," that sounds like it will be great to jump rope to!
