Since it’s inception in 1994, hundreds of artists have played acoustic, semi-acoustic and downright electric sets in Studio M. The studio itself started as a little commercial production studio with 3 microphones – one for the host and two for the band (imagine Lyle Lovett’s Large Band or Sonia Dada crowded around 2 mics!?!?). Today, Studio M is a beautiful performance space, with a small stage, seating for about 40 people and full digital production facilities. In the early days of Studio M, just like today, Madison artists have been and continue to be a big part of what we do in Studio M.
